A Sneak Peek!

Tonight we were invited to a gathering of the Fenton family for a sneak peek. . .
So, we traveled down to Utah County and were fed a wonderful dinner and we got to know the Fenton family much better.  This family has supported and loved and cheered our family (and Brendan especially) since Brendan was first diagnosed last October.  Last night they let us talk and share stories of what happened to Brendan that first month.  It was very healing for us.
The Fenton's stuck with us every step of Brendan's journey -- and beyond.  Meals have come from Jeanne and Tony on each month anniversary of Brendan's death.
Jeanne's brother died of leukemia many years ago and the year he died she decorated and donated a tree to the Primary Children's "Festival of Trees."  When Brendan was diagnosed, she began to plan another tree.

She enlisted the help of this wonderful lady (Laurie Hansen (in the yellow sweater), her daughter-in-laws mother) to help decorate the tree.  Between the two of them, they created this beautiful angel tree.  Each of the items have a special meaning (bells, angel wings, stars) and were handmade by Laurie.  So much thought and attention to detail was put into the tree that tears streamed down our faces when we saw it.
 Everything has a special meaning.
They named the tree, "Charlie's Angels."
We got our sneak peek at the tree that will be displayed at the Festival of Trees.  If you want to see all the beautiful, special items and the handmade memories of Charlie, you can come to the Festival of Trees as well.
(All of the 700 trees that are donated will be sold to raise money for Primary Children's Hospital.)
 Here is the information:
