Feeling Blessed

No fever overnight.  No fever at noon.  ANC count up to 800 (didn't have to be over 1000-- just as long as there was no fever).  No bacteria infections cultured out.  The social worker sent a voucher to the pharmacy saying they will get pre-authorization for the prescriptions on Monday-- (which would make them post-authorized, right?).  It was a beautiful day!

Brendan's eyelashes were bothering him, so he pulled a bunch of them out. (It's hard to see them on his sheet.)

As I walked to the Ronald McDonald family room for breakfast, I noticed they were having the LDS sacrament meeting in the auditorium at 10:30 a.m.  I thought with the temple dedication they wouldn't be having services today, but the hospital branch couldn't broadcast the temple dedication and had regular sacrament meeting instead.  I gladly joined the other members for a 30 minute sacrament meeting.

It is always an incredible experience to join the Saints and sing and worship together.  Today I felt so blessed to be there with those that willingly sacrificed their time to come and administer and pass the sacrament to those of us with "heavy hearts" and "hands that hang down."  Literally, they felt like those pioneer young men who willingly sacrificed their comfort to carry the saints back and forth across frigid waters.  It felt like they came to carry and lift us to higher ground by administering the emblems of the sacrament in remembrance of Him who paid the ultimate price to save us and give us peace and comfort through the Atonement.

Without a fever, Brendan was free to go at 3 p.m.  Those last few hours before discharge are the longest.  Dave showed Brendan how to make the time pass faster.

Wahoo!  Sunshine and fresh air!  (And yes, that kid did catch the balloon.)

It's so good to be home again!

With such a beautiful day, we just had to go for a walk.  Brendan talked the girls into pushing him in the wheelchair for part of the time.

Both grandmas came to visit. And grandpa.  And brothers and sisters and friends.

The Major's came with a birthday treat for Shaun, and stayed to share some music. 

 Family, Fun, Friends -- on a beautiful Sabbath spring day.  We're definitely feeling blessed!
