A Slow Day

Who knew that having no surprises, no changes, and no place to go would sound so good? What a difference a few months makes.  Brendan and I hit the "one week home" mark yesterday afternoon and are looking forward to one more week ahead of us.

With all the kids home for the day, there were plenty of things to do.  The highlight of the day was FaceTime with Loren and Jamie.

Besides the "every 6 hour antibiotic" day and night, the only thing Brendan needs is as much nutrition as he can get this week before he starts chemo again next Monday.  We were so on top of it today--until Brendan turned it off to go play and forgot to hook it up again.

Today was the 15th day since the beginning of Brendan's last chemo treatment and the 10th day since the finish of his chemo round.  And still no nausea.  This last round has been a completely different experience than the other rounds since he hasn't had the terrible nausea this time.  He's pretty  happy about that.  And we're pretty happy we can get more food into him this time.
