Back for More

We travelled back to SLC today for more radiation.  This time Brendan's right shoulder and left shin were radiated.  We hope the pain relief in these area is as good as it has been for his hips after last week's radiation. 

During the simulation (preparation for radiation), one of the nurses drew mustaches on Brendan's leg to give him something to laugh about.  He thought that was great.

After simulation, we had a little time before radiation and Brendan has been asking to ride the Trax, so we did.  He thought that was ok for a little while, but noted how long it took to get downtown.

By the time we got back from riding Trax, Brendan was worn out, and getting undressed for radiation was difficult and painful for him.

Radiation took a little longer than usual because of the two separate locations - shoulder and shin.

When Brendan finished radiation, he wanted to come home.  So home we came -- rush hour and all.  Tomorrow Brendan has his PET scan bright and early, so it will another trip to Salt Lake and back.  Shaun and Kerry get to trade off going and coming, but Brendan has to go every time.  By the time he leaves for his Wish Trip, I think Brendan is going to be pretty sick of the drive (if he isn't already.)
