More "Charlie's Angels"

Brendan woke up this morning feeling better than he has in a long time.  He felt well enough to walk from the car to radiation and back instead of using a wheelchair or the walker.  We met with Dr. Poppe after radiation.  He felt that instead of an MRI, a PET scan should be done to take a closer look at Brendan’s back and shoulders in preparation for additional radiation and to support possible future testing and treatment -- (i.e. the molecular cell testing from another bone biopsy.)

No one makes Brendan smile more than Rosemarie!

All the walking, while great, wore Brendan out.  We got back from radiation at 10:30 and Brendan went back to sleep for the next five hours.  We took the opportunity to pump him full of fluids and food.  

He did not want to get up, but we finally cajoled him into going outside. And then it was just a hop, skip, and a jump from there into the hot tub, where we bounced around, using his arms and legs, and called it physical therapy. He really perked up.

He was strong enough to climb the stairs, with only a hand for support. Cameron played some beautiful music and we called that music therapy. Zoe cuddled for a little while and that was puppy therapy.

This evening he watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and The Man From Snowy River.  

We are so grateful for the generous donations that so many of you have made for the air-hockey table to be donated to Primary Children’s.  RC Willey Home Furnishings of Syracuse let us know today they will provide the table at their cost (a big thanks to Brent Jones, Carol Thurgood, and Kyle Hensley at RC Willey).  So with their help and your help, we have now more than met our goal.  We will pick up the table tomorrow, and deliver it to Primary Children’s on Thursday morning.  All funds that have been donated in excess of the cost of the table will be donated to Primary Children’s for other play room equipment/toys. 

RC Willey of Syracuse also let us know that they sponsor an annual Make-A-Wish fundraising run.  They have decided to do their fundraiser this year in Brendan’s honor.  Wow!  So many Charlie’s Angels!
