Like A Dream

Every morning Aaron enjoys a ride on the Carousel while the rest of us finish breakfast.  Today it was Maddy's turn to take him riding.

Then it was off to Sea World.  It is always tough getting Brendan up and going in the mornings.  We had hoped to hit the park early, but it just didn't happen.

 We finally arrived. . .along with everyone else.  Being Memorial Day weekend, the place was packed!

The kids and I rode on the Mantra roller coaster ride -- once was enough for me!  Then we headed to the Shamu killer whale show.

The show was amazing!  (Brendan kept his rain poncho handy so he didn't get wet.  Front row seats are likely targets for splashing water, so Brendan stayed prepared.)

 And we did get front row seats.

 Yep!  Wet.

Next was the Pet Show. . .

. . .Then the dolphin show.  Brendan really enjoyed just sitting and watching.  It was incredibly hot and the rides just didn't appeal to him.  He did do the small Shamu rollercoaster, but that was enough for him.

Later, we caught the Clyde and Seymour sea lion show.  We were all drenched (except Brendan) and it really made Brendan smile.

Brendan did see the penguins, sharks, and the aquarium.

At the end of the day, Brendan was given fish to feed to the Sea Lions.  It was one of the perks of being a Wish Kid.  We were surprised to find out that everyone in the family got fish as well.

After 7 hours at the park, we were all pretty beat. . .

. . .especially Aaron.

After a day of travel and two days in the parks with lots of heat and sun, we were pretty tired today.  Brendan held up much better than I expected today.

Before we left the park, Brendan wanted another caricature drawing done.  He wants to get one done at each of the parks.  Well, Hey!  He's the Wish Kid!

How nice it has been to have a place to come back to after being out all day that has more to do than we can possibly fit in in a week.  Tonight, we went straight to dinner when we got back to the Village.  Then,  a movie was showing in the Village theater.  It was Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

 We were the only ones in the theater for awhile.  We were loaded up with popcorn, treats, and ice cream by the "Give Kids the World" volunteers while we watched.

All of this is kind of like a dream.  It's hard to believe it's real.  I'm only afraid we'll get used to this just in time to come back home and crash right into reality!
