The Best Place at Disney!

I see that my blog was hijacked tonight. . .by the kids at home.  Make sure to check out the post right before this one.  It makes me wonder who is having more fun. . .

It was Halloween today at "Give Kids The World."
But it feels like every day is Thanksgiving. . .

 Yep.  More ice cream!
Today we headed to Disney's Magic Kingdom in time for the Fantasy Parade.
Everyone had to come say "Hi" to Brendan. . .
Or blow him a kiss. ..
 Or bow. . .
Or shake his hand. . .

They all just showed their love and respect for all he is going through.  It was touching. . .

 Another park -- another caricature.

I think we're ruined. . .  We will never be able to enjoy another theme park again.  When things got really hot and muggy, we retreated to the "Wish Lounge" where we were told Brendan (and the family) could rest and get something to drink.  I think we found our favorite spot in the whole park!!!

We only meant to be there for a few minutes, but we ended up staying for almost an hour.

When we came out, the temperature had cooled and we were refreshed for another 3 hours.
Even with "Wish" status, there was still some waiting.  But the crowds weren't near as bad as what we thought they would be for Memorial Day.
Brendan definitely enjoyed the slow rides -- like "It's a Small World."
The hardest part of each day is trying to fit in what everyone wants to do.  This morning, early, Shaun and the kids hit the park for 3 hours before Brendan even got out of bed.  So, this afternoon, when we were all together, we all just did what Brendan wanted.
Except somehow, the kids talked Brendan into Splash Mountain.
He was quite apprehensive about the ride.
But ended up loving it.  Just not as much as Landon did, though.

Brendan really liked the Jungle Ride.
We were headed out of the park just as the Electric Parade came down Main Street.

Whew!  Another good day.  The weather has been beautiful (only slight sprinkles) when major thunderstorms were forecast for the weekend.
While the rest of us are dying of heat, Brendan is freezing!  Here Shaun is trying to warm him up while we ride the metro back from Magic Kingdom.

Tomorrow we hope to get to Animal Kingdom in the morning and try to see Disney Hollywood Studios in the afternoon.  But, as usual, it all depends on how Brendan is feeling.  He is not a fan of the noise and rides and busy-ness of the parks.  So we end up doing everything a lot slower than planned.

Remember to check out Rachel's "blog-jacking" below -- I'm still laughing!!

  2. It is definitely apparent that Brendan is genetically connected to me, his grandmother....A Bag of Cheetos for lunch! Yep!
