A Day at the Lake

Today we spent the day at Bear Lake.  Mornings, of course, are tough for Brendan and he didn't want to go.  He thought it would be too hot -- too windy -- no fun.  But we told him we would take him home anytime he was ready to go.  He said he would try.
Well, 30 minutes turned into an hour, and an hour turned into all day.  Brendan spent the whole day in the reclining chair, but he felt well enough to stay.  The weather was the perfect temperature and no wind blew.
It was a great day -- being together and enjoying time with each other.  Brendan didn't want to get in the water (he didn't want to get wet at all), getting up or walking was painful on his knees, but sitting was just fine.  He just sat and enjoyed watching everyone else play.  He did a little reading and played the iPad.
There is always something relaxing about sitting at the lake and feeling the sand between your toes.  Brendan said he enjoyed just being there.  Another good day of memories!
