Today we spent the day at a friends house. Brendan was NOT excited to get in the car again. But he did. Alexis said, "You sure get a lot of pictures of Brendan eating." Well, that's because it is quite the event when he does.
Tonight Brendan has been reading Patrick McManus with Chris. They were laughing about his book, "A Fine and Pleasant Misery." I thought that was a fitting title for Brendan's day today.(Brendan just loves his cousin Elizabeth!)
When Brendan was at camp he was feeling really good. He said he had a relatively pain-free week. But on Friday morning, Brendan began to feel sore. He thinks he overdid things a little at the Dance Party on Thursday night.
Well, things got worse today and it was hard to stay ahead of his pain. Tylenol has been an effective pain reliever for him, (in addition to his osteoarthritis medicine for bone pain), but by 4 hours he was really hurting again. So we had lots of ups and downs. He would feel good. . .
. . .then he was back on the couch hurting until he could have more Tylenol.
Then he would feel well enough to get up for a short time again. I'm wondering if Brendan is going to need more radiation to his back and maybe some ribs. The pain in those areas keep increasing. So, really, it was kind of a fine and pleasant misery for Brendan today.

Keeping late hours still my friend. ♡U
