Mad Dash

After going back and forth for weeks about whether Brendan is strong enough to attend Camp Hobe (the camp for cancer kids and their siblings), Brendan has decided he wants to give it a try.  Fortunately, I had gathered the forms and had the doctors sign the consents last week-- just in case.  Tonight, it was filling out pages of questions like, "list previous surgeries" and "give detailed instructions on all medications" that filled many hours tonight.  Landon's forms took minutes to fill out while Brendan's forms took hours.  

While I'm a little apprehensive to send Brendan off to camp, I know that the doctor there is one of the doctors he worked with at Primary's, and many of the nurses volunteer there as well.  Last week, Rachel volunteered at the Kid's Camp (she was with the 5-6 year olds), so she filled us in on all the fun activities going on at the camp.  We are grateful that the staff and camp medical director are anxious to make this a great experience for Brendan.

This morning Aunt Shara came by for a quick visit.  Later, Brendan enjoyed a game of "Settlers of Cataan" with Susan, Shaun, and Rachel.

Of course, everyone came out to celebrate Father's Day.

And tonight, Maddy showed us all the fun things she brought back from her trip to China.

While Brendan (and our family) pray and ponder over life and death decisions,  life keeps moving on -- much the same as usual.
